Helen Faye Reeves, 86, of Galax, Virginia and formerly of Downingtown and New Holland, PA passed away in the Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, North Carolina on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. She was born August 1, 1926 in Galax, Virginia to William Ben and Hassie Mae Edwards Wooten. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Curtis Reeves, children Jimmy Reeves, Jesse Hankins, Elmer Hankins, Jr., Helen Ruth Hankins; brothers and sisters; Thomas Wooten, Ray Wooten, Arlis Wooten, Verlin Wooten, Junior Wooten, Mary Ruth Wooten and Lena Wooten.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Linda and Larry Bennethun of New Holland, Pennsylvania; JoAnn and Raymond Bennett of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania; Charlotte Lapp of Woodlawn. Virginia; Carol and Dave Lammey of Woodlawn, Virginia; Frances Woods of Little Britain, Pennsylvania; Marie Smith of Galax, Virginia; Curtis Wade and Joyce Reeves of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania; Roger Lee and Sharon Reeves of Limerick, Pennsylvania; Charles and Vickie Reeves of Galax, Virginia; Bobby and Michelle Reeves of North East, Maryland; Steve and Michelle Reeves of Kirkwood, Pennsylvania; and Johnny Colburn of North Carolina. Also surviving are two sisters Pauline Wooten of Fries, Virginia; Betty Conway of Thomasville, North Carolina; thirty-one grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn with Rev. Cas Horton and Rev. Rodney Christman officiating. Burial will follow in the Crab Creek Cemetery, Alleghany County, North Carolina. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, February 14, 2013 from 6 until 9 PM at the funeral home.
