Helen S. Mink, age 95, a loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 3, 2020 in Galax.

Mrs. Mink was born March 29, 1925 to Waldo and Lessie Hampton Shaw in Akron, OH.

With her husband Jake, she actively worked at the Mink auto-dealership for over 35 years.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Joyce & Harry Downs of Pilot Mountain, NC; son & daughter-in-law, Jerry & Donna Mink of Galax; five granddaughters:  Jill Setliff Pope (Russ), Brooke Setliff (Tyrone Burcham), Julie Setliff Harris (Bob), Emily Mink (Chris Daupert), and Katy Kaskinen (Dan); one grandson, Britt Setliff; five great-grandchildren: Brady & Javan Setliff, Finn Kaskinen, Rusty & Katlyn Pope; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jacob Mink; two brothers: Clinton Shaw and her twin brother, Harold Shaw; stepmother, Ruth Shaw; and stepsister, Lucille Crouse Roberts.

Her family would like to share their deepest appreciation for her adoring and devoted caregivers:  Ann Davis, Bonnie Trimble, Jenny Sexton, and Mary Frost.

The family will celebrate her life at a future date.
