Helen Bond Lyons

Helen Mildred Bond Lyons age 80 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday June 16, 2026 at her home.

Mrs. Bond was born in Welch, West Virginia on November 3, 1945 to Earnest Lee Bond, Sr. and Clarice Smith Bond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters Linda Bond Byrd and Shirley Bond Griffin and brother Jerry Lee Bond.

She is survived by her husband Roger Lee Lyons of Fries, Virginia; son an daughter-in-law Dwain Keith and Beth Lyons of Glade Springs, Virginia; two grandchildren Cruz Lyons and Orlin Lyons; two great- grandchildren Brooks Parris and Atlas Lyons; sister Darlene Rowland of Glade Springs, Virginia; brother Earnest Lee Bond, Jr. of Fries, Virginia;  nieces Melany Taylor; Mary Beth; Melinda Hall; Valerie Collins and Sydney Peltier; nephew Tony Byrd; several great-great-nieces and great-great nephews; her faithful feline companion Henry.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Fries, Va. with the Rev. Mark Crockett officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
