Helen Marie Jones' Obituary
Helen Marie McMillan Jones age 90 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the home of her son in Mocksville, North Carolina.
Mrs. Jones was born in Virginia on April 6, 1921 to Thomas Alfred and Lula Shelton McMillan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harrison Monroe Jones and daughter Mabel Jones.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Harry and Brenda Jones; James V. Jones all of Fries, Virginia; Wayne and Lula Jones of Mocksville, North Carolina; Ralph (Scooter) and Karen Jones; Michael and Janet Jones all of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren Brian Jones; Melissa Young; Jody Jones; Cindy Philpott; Tia Hooven; Cory Jones; Lori Bryant; Mikey Jones and Eric Jones; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Smith and Rev. Ron Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Mt.Hope United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Mt. Hope Cemetery Fund.
