Helen Juanita Spivey Fielder age 97 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at her home.

Mrs. Fielder was born in Galax, Virginia on April 26, 1923 to Edgar and Ruby Grace Houseman Spivey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bayne Fielder, son Dennis Carson Fielder, sisters Lennie Franks and Pauline Overby; brothers Olen Spivey and Ewell Spivey.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Margaret Fielder Sellers and Tim of Elk Creek, Virginia; Jean Fielder Johnson and Larry of Galax, Virginia; daughter-in-law Mary Adkins of Riner, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Camet and Rita Spivey of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren Larry D. Johnson, Jr. and Brenda; Andy Johnson; Robert Sellers; Jerod Sellers; Mark Fielder and Merrie; Dennice Morrelli and Jesse; eight great-grandchildren Brandon; Sydney: Cassandra; Jessica; Victoria; Tonya; Savannah and Dakota; four great-grandchildren Saylor; Sophie; Carter and Ezra; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers Abby Vaughn; Fonda Lunsford; Kitty Sue Bowers and Julia Bowers.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Doug Vaught officiating. Burial will follow in the Jerusalem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
