Helen Mae Carico Morton, age 97, of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday January 28, 2023 in Senior Home Share-Grayson House.

Helen was born on December 28, 1925 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Claude Andrew Carico and Grace Troy Carico. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Morton; brother James A. Carico; and sisters Eva C. Vaughan and Mary C. Wilson.

She is survived by her daughters Linda M. Morton and Rosemary Morton both of Galax, Virginia; sister Laura C. Berry of Hillsville, Virginia and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Senior Home Share-Grayson House.

The funeral service will be held Thursday February 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Mark McFadden officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. A private burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.
