Hazel Louise Vaught Whittaker of 405 Poplar St., Galax, VA passed away September 9, 2019 in Prince George, VA. She was born July 21, 1926 in Giles County to Early J. & Mary Lou Caldwell Vaught. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whittaker's husband, Russell C. Whittaker, a sister, Lois V. Falls and a brother, Dallas Vaught preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Lou Whittaker Hoffman of Prince George , VA; two granddaughters: Tracey Hoffman Lange ( T.J.) of Roanoke and Heather Hoffman Galloni (Anthony) of FT Riley, K.S.; three Great Grandchildren: Tristan Lange, Madden Galloni, and Tinsley Lange. Two nieces and one nephew: Mary Ann Falls Van Ducen, Carmen Vaught Osborne, and Dale Wayne Vaught also survive.

The family will gather with friends Saturday morning, September 14, 2019 at 10:00 for visitation in Birchlawn Abbey, followed immediately by the service officiated by Vassie Vaught. Interment will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, 177 Birchlawn Circle, Pearisburg, VA, Pearisburg, VA 24134
