Hazel Frances Roberts Waddell's Obituary
Hazel Frances Roberts Waddell, 90, passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at Waddell Nursing Home in Galax. Mrs. Waddell was born in Carroll County, Virginia on September 21, 1920 to Emmett Roberts & Dora Redd Roberts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Davis Waddell.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Billy D. Waddell, Sr. & Thelma of Galax; grandchildren Samantha W. Reece, Billy D. Waddell, Jr.; great grandchildren Travis Waddell and Gary D. Reece, Jr.; and sister Veda R. Robinson of Woodlawn, VA. Several nieces, nephews and all her loving friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Pope's Knob Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roger Redd and Rev. Billy Redd officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
