Hazel N. Jennings age 86 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 at South Roanoke Nursing Home. Mrs. Jennings was born on April 27, 1921 in Grayson County, Va. to Walter & Rosa Brooks Nichols. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Howard Jennings. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Carol Jean & Donny Murray of Roanoke, Va.; son Roger Dale Jennings of Silver Valley, N.C.; sisters & brother-in-law Lorene & Reid Robertson of Spring Valley, Va.; Edna Guynn of Fries, Va.; sisters-in-law & spouse Ottolene Jennings; Jean & Everett Cox all of Galax, Va.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 2:30 pm in Cliffview Church of God with Pastor D.G. Fox & Pastor Ron Hill officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
