Hazel Hanks Larrowe's Obituary
Hazel Hanks Larrowe, age 94, of Galax, VA died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Larrowe was born May 17, 1915 in Carroll County, VA to Loyd M. and Edna C. Calloway Hanks.
She is survived by her husband, Horace Larrowe and one daughter and son-in-law, Betty & Brandon Gunn, 111, Picayune, Miss., two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward N. & Leona Burcham, Mt. Airy, NC and James A. & Carol Burcham, Dover, DE, two sisters, Ella Farmer, Galax, Mary Combs, Martinsville, VA, two brothers, Elmer Hanks, Galax and Arnold Hanks, Cana, VA, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. She was lovingly attended by Becky Cooke.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in the Oakland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from seven until nine PM Monday in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. The officiating ministers will be the Rev. Donn Bogert and the Rev. Bobbie Burcham.
