Hazel Imogene Jennings age 93 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Jennings was born in Carroll County, Virginia on February 17, 1921 to Charlie and Indie Goad Alderman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ransom James Jennings and daughter & son-in-law, Deanna & Michael Griffey.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law James R. & Joann Jennings, Galax, VA; grandchildren: Lorrie Lee Albert, James Allen Jennings, Jamie Gee and Bruce Jennings, step-granddaughter, Vicki Myers; five great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Callahan officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund.
