Hazel Irene Bobbitt age 79 of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, May 5,2008 at Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center. Ms. Bobbitt was born in Grayson County, Va. on March 2, 1929 to Kelly & Gertrude Akers Bobbitt. She is survived by her sister Mildred Cole of Independence, Va.; brother Wayne Bobbitt of Fries, Va.; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ricky Watson & Rev. Robert McLean officiating. Burial will follow in Stevens Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12;00 until service time at the funeral home.
