Hattie Mae Parks' Obituary
Hattie Mae Parks age 94 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Parks was born in Grayson County, Va. on September 25, 1915 to Carl Everett and Laura Ellen Brewer Patton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband H.R. (Carl) Parks.
She is survived by her step-daughter June P. Hackler of Beaufort, S.C.; brother John Phipps Patton of Galax, Va.; several nieces and nephews; special friends Carolyn Lyons, Traci Pierce and Heather Shaffner.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Monta Vista Cemetery with Rev. James Cowley officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
