Hattie Jeanette Lineberry Mabe age 85 of Bassett, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Mabe was born in Carroll County, Virginia on May 20, 1931 to Ted and Arla Brooks Montgomery Lineberry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alvah Marlin Mabe and son Alvie Mabe.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Tim Vernon of Patrick Springs, Virginia; son Doyle Mabe of Bassett, Virginia; grandson and spouse Marlin and Katie Mabe of Low Gap, North Carolina; sisters Helena Sexton of Woodlawn, Virginia; Frances Akers of Hillsville, Virginia; Ethel Whitlow of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; brother Ted J. Lineberry of Woodlawn, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Allan Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the Mabe Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
