Hattie Mae Hill age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Hill was born on September 25, 1931 in Carroll County, Virginia to Ellis Samuel and Ninnie Roberts Handy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Jackson Hill and a daughter Delores Patton.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Angela and Jerry Mabe of Galax, Virginia; Diane Lundy of Woodlawn, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Nickey and Patricia Handy of Galax, Virginia; Bobby and Judy Hill of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren Michelle Kelley, Jared Mabe, Kenneth Mallory, Alan Mallory, Robin Cox, Rodney Hill, David Sexton and Tim Hill; twelve great-grandchildren; sister Judy Finnerty of Moyock, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Bill Linkous and the Rev. Jeff Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church.
