Hattie Mae Galyean age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007 in Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center. Mrs. Galyean was born on November 29, 1925 in Grayson County, Va. to Ottie & Rosie Patton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Talmadge Galyean. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Pat & Randy Bond; Diana & Terry Murphy all of Galax, Va.; brother Ralph Patton of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in Mt. Pisgah Church of Christ with Marvin Williams & Sammy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Galyean Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from seven until nine at Mt. Pisgah Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Baywood Rescue Squad.
