Hastin Clifford Edwards' Obituary
Hastin Clifford Edwards, age 84, of Galax, VA, died Jan. 23, 2010 in the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax.
Mr. Edwards was born Dec. 31, 1925 in Grayson County, VA to Claude and Tressie Sparks Edwards.
He is survived by his wife, Tressie Edwards, son & daughter-in-law, John & Mary Edwads, Harker Heights, Texas, daughter, Linda Haley, Galax, step-son, Earnest Rector and step-daughter, Doris Smith, both of Sparta, NC. Also surviving are three granddaughters, five great-grandchildren, Six step-granddaughters and ten step great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Bill Ring. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service on Wednesday. Military rites will be performed by the Grayson County VFW Post #7726. Memorial contributions may be made to Twin County Hospice,818 Glendale Road, Galax, VA 24333 or the Baywood Rescue Squad.
