Hasten Alexander Brown's Obituary
Hasten Alexander Brown, 84, of Galax, VA passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at his home. Mr. Brown was born in Grayson County, Virginia on July 15, 1927 to Joe Brown SR and Bertie Kyle Brown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Reba Kyle Brown.
Mr. Brown is survived by four sons & daughters-in-law: Odell & Phyllis brown of Wytheville; James & Evon Brown; Roger & Debra Brown; and Steve & Meshia Brown all of Galax; four daughters & sons-in-law: Juanita Gamble of Christiansburg; Joann & Curtis Cox; Marilyn & Oscar Jimenez; and Nayden Brown all of Galax; foster sister- Ola Goins also of Galax. Twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service will be held Monday, April 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Oldtown Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Cutler, Minister Gloria Richardson, Rev. Raymond Brown and Minister Joann Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Oldtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service time.
