Harvey Bailey Forrest, 67, of Galax, VA passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax. Mr. Forrest was born In Davie County North Carolina on December 10, 1943 to Clarence Franklin Forrest and Sadie Mae Barneycastle Forrest.

Mr. Forrest is survived by his wife Brenda Dailey Forrest of Galax; sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth & Anita Forrest of Cullman, Alabama; Shane Forrest of Greensboro, North Carolina; Kevin & Kathy Forrest of Los Angeles, California; four grandchildren Sean, Drew, Kacy, and Troy Forrest. Also surviving are two sisters and brother-in-law: Clara Sue Powell & Roger of Guntersville, Alabama; Sadie Carol Lawrence of Mocksville, North Carolina; brother & sister-in-law: Roy & Joy Forrest of Galax, VA and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Canup and Steve Short officiating with interment following in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 PM until service time at the funeral home.
