Harvey Clyde Blevins age 81 of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Blevins was born on August 26, 1927 in Wythe County, Va. to James Beal & Abbie Davis Blevins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Lois Blevins Anders.

He is survived by his wife Dorcas Ceary Blevins; son James M. Blevins both of Ivanhoe, Va.; sisters & brother-in-law Marie Carey, Imogene & Paul Chappell, Shirley Carico all of Galax, Va.; brother & sister-in-law Dennis & Joyce Blevins of Ivanhoe, Va.; several nieces & nephews; special friend Randy Taylor.

The funeral service will be held Friday, July 10, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Haga officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
