Harry Ray Mallory, 84, of Fries passed away Thursday August 5, 2010 at Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center, Independence. Mr. Mallory was born November 18, 1925 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Robert & Lillie Funk Mallory.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Mallory, also a resident at Grayson Nursing & Rehab, son Bryan Mallory of Fries, grandson Kenneth Mallory, granddaughter Kayla Mallory, sister, Agnes Kniesche of Richmond, Virginia; sister-in-law and husband Martha & Robert Pearman of Ivanhoe, VA; two great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Atkins United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Claude Holderfield and Pastor Lee Houston officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Military rites will be conducted at the gravesite by the Grayson VFW Post 7726.
