Harry Leon Taylor better known as Pete Taylor age 80 of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Taylor was born in Carroll County, Virginia on April 13, 1938 to Roby and Ethel Williams Taylor.

He is survived by his wife Alice Taylor of Ivanhoe, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Tim and Vickie Taylor of Fries, Virginia; one grandson Levi Taylor; sister Terry Taylor of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Evone Taylor of Fort Chiswell, Virginia; Bernard and Angeline Taylor of Kernersville, North Carolina; Larry Taylor of Fries, Virginia; Dennis and Kathy Taylor; Tommy and June Taylor all of Ivanhoe, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matt Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
