Harry Lee (Red) Patton, age 72 of Fries, VA died July 26, 2008 at the Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1935 in Grayson County. His parents were Ellis E. and Nettie Swinney Patton.

Mr. Patton is survived by his wife, Dawn Patton of the home, daughter & son in law: Denise & Wayne Jessup, Galax, sister & brother in law, Senia & Max Hall, Fries, sisters in law & brother in law, Jane & Clarence Blackburn, Blountville, TN, Freida Patton, Galax, grandson, Kenny Jessup, special niece & nephew, Leslie Carr and Garth Blackburn.

Funeral service will be held Monday, July 23, 2008 at the Fries United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Lee Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends tonight (Sunday) from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the church. In leiu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fries United Methodist Church-Church Projects.
