Harold Matthew Viar age 85 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 in the Skyline Nursing and Rehab Center in Floyd, Virginia.

Mr. Viar was born in Ivanhoe, Virginia on February 25, 1933 to Carvin and Allie Catherine Crigger Viar. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Christine Wright Viar.

He is survived by two daughters Cathy Coleman and Debbie Pearman both of Galax, Virginia; grandson and spouse Kevin Jay and Karan Pearman; great-granddaughter Jaelyn Pearman; sisters-in-law Linda Viar; Nancy Viar and Addie Viar; brother-in-law Donald Scott; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
