Harold Eugene Leonard's Obituary
Harold Eugene Leonard age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mr. Leonard was born on February 3,1925 in Galax, Virginia to John Perry and Mary Elizabeth Roberts Leonard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy L. Leonard.
He is survived by two sisters Edith Sutherland of Galax, Virginia and Beulah Morgan of Winfall, North Carolina; brother & sister-in-law, Thurman & Pauline Leonard of Galax, Virginia and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday, September 19, 2011 at 6:00 PM in the Locust Grove Church of Christ with Craig Embree officiating. Burial will be in the George Washington Cemetery in Hyattsville, Maryland at a later date. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 PM until time for the service at the Locust Grove Church of Christ or anytime at the home of Thurman Leonard-1096 Fries Road, Galax. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Locust Grove Church of Christ or to the charity of the donor's choice.
