Harold Warren Burnette age 68 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at his home. Mr. Burnette was born in Carroll County, Va. on April 7, 1939 to Edward & Anna Sutphin Burnette. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Harry Burnette. He is survived by his children and their spouses Kevin Burnette; Keith & Cristie Burnette; Tina Thomas & Ray Cummings; Kenny & Anna Burnette all of Galax, Va.; sisters Peggy Bowen of Martinsville, Va.; Phyllis Taylor of Pofftown, N.C.; brothers Ed Burnette of Bluefield, West Va.; Donald Burnette of Hillsville, Va.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 14,2008 at 2:00 pm at Camp Zion Church with Rev. Rodney Christman officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
