Harold Dean Ayers' Obituary
Harold Dean Ayers, 74, of Galax, VA passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Golden Living Nursing Home & Rehab in Galax. He was born in Carroll County on January 18, 1938 to Boyd & Jettie Mooney Ayers.
He is survived by sisters & brother-in-law: Betty Gardner of Woodlawn, VA, Frances & Joe Higgins of Galax, VA; brothers & sister-in-law: Roy & Eskie Ayers of Winston-Salem, NC and F. C. Ayers of Knoxville, TN. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews and special friends Garnett Leonard and Jerel Jones.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the River Hill Christian Church at 11:00 AM with Leo Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the River Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Grayson VFW Post #7726.
