Hardin Alexander Reavis age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday , November 1, 2023 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mr. Reavis was born in Grayson County, Virginia on December 16, 1938 to Bruce and Ola Robinson Reavis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Edward Reavis; Georgia  Rhudy; Blanche Rector; Betty Mae Delp; Cora Belle Diamond; Jean Jones and Vera Edmonds.

He is survived by his wife Rachel Reavis of Galax, Virginia; daughters Darlene Wells of Christiansburg, Virginia; Stefanie Boers of Gaithersburg, Maryland; son and daughter-law Brian and Tonya Reavis of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Warren and Mary Reavis of Woodlawn, Virginia; three grandchildren Brooke Boers; Hannah Boers and August Reavis; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Dina Clower officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
