H. Earl Blankenship's Obituary
H. Earl Blankenship age 88 of Galax, Va. passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Blankenship was born on December 24, 1920 in Wythe County, Va. to William & Lora Cannoy Blankenship. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bertie Lee Blankenship; daughters Dena Bullins and Erma Blankenship.
He is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law Lora & Harry Frost; Velva & Dennis Bullins all of Galax, Va.; son & daughter-in-law Wayne & Martha Blankenship of New Canton, Va.; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 3:30 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:30 until 3:30 before the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 375 Rollingwood Lane, Galax, VA 24333
