Guy Wilford Jennings, 73, of Galax, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, North Carolina. Guy was born October 18, 1936 in Carroll County, Virginia to Effie Celie Cox Jennings & Jerry M. Jennings, Jr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson Joshua Frost and brother Dewey Jennings.

He is survived by his wife Bannie Mae Sharp Jennings of the home; daughters & sons-in-law: Susan Golding & Ernie; Rhonda Testerman & Stuart all of Galax; Sherry Frost & Donald of Fancy Gap, VA; sister Mary Ann Burnett of Galax; five grandchildren: Matthew Testerman, Heather Testerman, Kristie Dudley, Kimberly Golding, & Cory Golding; great grandson Will Dudley.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 4:00 PM in the Woodlawn Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Harvey Carico and Rev. Rodney Christman officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time for the service at the church. Interment will follow in the
Monta Vista Cemetery.
