Guida Yvonne Melton Carico age 89 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Carico was born on December 9, 1924 in Carroll County, Virginia to Willie and Grace Rector Melton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Earon Carico.

She is survived by a daughter Roseanna Carico; son and daughter-in-law Larry and Sharon Carico all of Woodlawn, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Delane Carico and wife Kathy of Fancy Gap, Virginia; Dr. Kerri Gray and husband Dr. Anthony Gray of Bluff City, Tennessee; four great grandchildren, Shonda Carico, Justin Carico, Sydney Gray and Paisley Gray; brother and sister-in-law Rupert and Nell Melton of Galax, Virginia; sisters-in-law Jo Melton and Annalee Carico; brother-in-law and wife Warren and Jessie Carico; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ellis Melton Cemetery on the Joy Ranch Road. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
