Gregory Dean Bowers age 50 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Greg was born in Galax, Virginia on December 30, 1969 to Arlie and Mary Lee Lineberry Bowers. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his step-son Nathan Burcham.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis LaRue Bowers; mother Mary Lee Lineberry Bowers both of Galax, Virginia; step-daughters and husband Holly Lewis of Galax, Virginia; Tiffany and Steve Lay of Little Rock, Arkansas; one step-grandchild Max Lay; sister and brother-in-law Patricia and James Adams of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Sharron Bowers of Alexandria, Virginia; two nephews Tyler Bowers of Alexandria, Virginia; Trevor Adams of Galax, Virginia; special friends Shelby Lineberry, Jennifer Bednarek and Christy Quesenberry.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Billy Burnette and Sammy Burnette officiating. Friends may call at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 11:30 PM.
