Grace A. Stoneman, widow of Houston Howard Stoneman, age 98, of Galax, VA, died Saturday, July 07, 2008, at the Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Stoneman was born in Carroll County, VA on the date of Oct. 28, 1909, to Charlie R. and India Goad Alderman. She is survived by one sister, Imogene Jennings of Galax and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in the Monta Vista Memory Gardens. The officiating minister will be the Rev. Carl Bean. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 AM, Monday, prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
