Grace E. Hackler age 89 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Hackler was born on July 22, 1921 in Carroll County, Virginia to Samuel and Dora Russell Liddle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Don J. Hackler and son James Larry Hackler.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Phyllis and David Wright; son and daughter-in-law Don G. and Janet Hackler; daughter-in-law Judy Hackler all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Kim and Jay Phipps; Janna and Therron Billings; great-grandchidlren Megan Phipps; Brett Phipps; Nicholas Sage; Matthew Billings; Levi Billings; several nieces and nephews; special friend Grace Cole.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Gladeville United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Fiorini officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Gladeville United Methodist Church.
