Grace Hicks Evans, 96, of Galax, Virginia passed away at Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA on December 8, 2015. Mrs. Evans was born November 6, 1919 in Baywood, Virginia to the late Sidney and Venona Caudell Hicks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Buren Dewitt Evans and son Claude Edwin Evans.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Gaye Evon and Robert Dillon, Sr of Galax, Virginia; Jean Evelyn and Frank Wilson of Allendale, South Carolina, son and daughters-in-law: James Earl and Sue Evans of Barren Springs, VA; Shirley Evans of Elgin, South Carolina; Loretta Petty Evans of Galax, Virginia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall at 4:00 Pm with Kim Kimmel officiating. Burial will be held Sunday, December 13, 2015 in the Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, South Carolina.
