Grace Leedy Ayers age 88 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 at her home.

Mrs. Ayers was born on August 27, 1923 in Carroll County, Virginia to Ribble and Susan Rider Leedy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leeman Bane Ayers; son-in-law H. Jimmie Brannock; grandson Stephen Ray Haga; great-great-grandson Joshua Allen Haga; step-great-granddaughter Jamie Marie Kenyon.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Sharon Ayers Anderson and Rex of Woodlawn, Virginia; Laura Sue Ayers Brannock of Calabash, North Carolina; son Ronald Lee Ayers of Petersburg, Virginia; sister Blanche Leedy Edwards; brother Harold Leedy both of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three step -grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; special care givers Dr. John Tracy; Cassie Barkley and Heather Wright.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Bishops Chapel Church with Rev. Jimmy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the church.
