Gordon Lee Fink, 91, of Mocksville, North Carolina and formerly of Ripley, New York passed away on Friday April 29, 2022 in Fries, Virginia.

He was born on July 10, 1931 in Ripley, New York to the late Harold and Alice Hatfield Fink.

Gordy received his diploma from Ripley Central School two years after he had to drop out of school to take care of his younger brothers and sisters after his mother's passing at a young age.

Gordy served in the US Army from 1949 to 1952, during the Korean Conflict.

He was married to Phyllis Wright Fink on July 2, 1953 and they enjoyed 54 years of marriage together before her passing in 2007.

Gordy was a grape farmer in Ripley along with his accounting business. Later in life he worked in maintenance and also in grocery stores. He continued working until he was 89 years old.

He was preceded in death by his wife, son Robert and sisters Pricilla, Susan and Carm. He is survived by his children William (Joan) Fink, Brenda (George) Stoddard, Gary (Jackie) Fink and Pamela (Tony) Baran, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with 2 brothers Everette and Robert Matlock and companion Edith McCrobie.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Gordy loved camping and loved his family very much.
