Gloria Johnson Haislip's Obituary
Gloria Johnson Haislip age 80 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Woltz Hospice Home.
Mrs. Haislip was born on February 25, 1930 in Rome, Georgia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William M. Haislip and son Stephen F. Dalton.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law John G. and Joyce Dalton of Hylton Head, N.C.; Kenneth M. and Sabine Dalton of Denver, Colorado; daughter Lynn Wike of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter-in-law Barbara Dalton of Spartanburg, S.C.; grandchildren and spouses Benjamin and Stephanie Dalton; Nathan and Christy Dalton; Martin Dalton; Daniel Dalton; Maximiliam Dalton; Christopher Dalton; Scott and Melissa Wike; Andrew and Andrea Wike; Robert Wike; three great-grandchildren; sisters Alva Keener of Gainsville, Florida and Emily Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 29, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Fancy Gap United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott A. Robertson-Gouge and the Rev. Layne Pennington officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Twin County Hospice or the Woltz Hospice Home.
