Glenn Howard Brown age 88 of Washington, DC passed away Thursday July 7, 2022 in the Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC.

Mr. Brown was born in Galax, Virginia on September 24, 1933 to James L and Lettie McMillian Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Vester Brown and Therman Brown.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Porter Brown of Washington DC; children Glenn Brown Jr. ; Augustin Jenkins; Angel Porter; Lucinda Porter; Maurice (Monique) Verene ; sister and brother-in-law Ann and Rev. Jackie Reeves; brothers Verl Brown, Sr. and Raymond L. Brown; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren;  a host of nieces and nephews.

The Homegoing Service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Bishop Barry Early and Bishop James Barley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
