Glenda Sue Akers Lyons age 62 of Fries, Va. passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 at her home. Ms. Lyons was born in Grayson County, Va. on December 24,1945 to Paul & Doris Fender Akers. In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughter Lora Lyons of Christiansburg, Va.; and sister Linda Akers of Fries, Va.. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 3,2007 at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Funk officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Grace Baptist Church.
