Gleeves M. Lineberry age 88 of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, May 5,2008 at Golden Living Center. Mr. Lineberry was born on February 7, 1920 in Carroll Co., Va. to Ernest & Orpha Jennings Lineberry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Beulah Lawson Lineberry and sons Genoa Lineberry & Nolan Lineberry. He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law Elma L. & Jackie Alley of Galax, Va.; Lexie & Richard Andrews of Sparta, N.C; sister & brother-in-law Nina & Ray Sizemore of Galax, Va.; brother Burgess Lineberry of Hillsville, Va.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Norman Goad & Matthew Haynie officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
