Gleason Arlie Eastridge age 88 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Eastridge was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 2, 1924 to Joseph and Rina Edwards Eastridge.
He is survived by his wife Ilean Sizemore Eastridge of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter Linda Goad of Hillsville, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Carroll and Phyllis Eastridge of Stuart, Virginia; grandchildren Michael Goad and Scott Eastridge; great-grandchildren Emily Eastridge and Evan Eastridge; sisters and brothers-in-law Lema Chappell of Galax, Virginia; Dorothy Mullinix of Albemarle, North Carolina; Shirley and Nelson Patton; Geraldine and Charlie Rippey all of Galax, Virginia; Wanda and Curtis Hash of Independence, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Clyde and Georgia Eastridge; Wade Eastridge all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Elder Curtis Hash officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from two until time for the funeral service at the funeral home.
