Gladys Lavone Pollard age 83 of Elk Creek, Virginia passed away Monday June 15, 2026 at her home.
Mrs. Pollard was born in Grayson County, Virginia on October 13, 1942 to Hobert and Vergie Thornton Funk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Pollard.
She is survived by her sons Gary Pollard (Paige) of Pinnacle, North Carolina; Danny Pollard (Heather Martin) of Elk Creek, Virginia; seven grandchildren Hunter; Autumn; Amanda; Tyler; Phillip; Piper and Try Faw; two great-grandchildren Lakota and Hayden; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in Jerusalem Church with the Rev. Matt Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church.
