Gladys Nadine Hanks age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday August 11, 2022 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Hanks was born on September 13, 1935 in Chilhowie, Virginia to Oscar Ray and Martha Hall Peake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Sanders Hanks and sons Virgil Hanks and Wayne Hanks.

She is survived by her children and spouse Sandra and Jeff Ballard of Pulaski, Virginia; Randy Hanks of Galax, Virginia; Nathan Hanks of Wytheville, Virginia; grandchildren and spouse Timothy and Jessica Hanks; April Mabe; Rachel Hanks and Ryan Hanks; four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Cliffview Church of God with Pastor Jackie Poe and Pastor Ron Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Cliffview Church of God.
