Gilmer Ernest Lineberry age 80 of Galax, Va. passed away Friday, September 7, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Lineberry was born on December 5, 1926 in Carroll County, Va. to Ernest & Orpha Jennings Lineberry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lineberry. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law Betty Jewel & Gilmer (Sam) Grimes of Galax, Va.; step-son Raymond Underwood of Galax, Va.; step-daughter JoAnn Carrico of Galax, Va.; foster daughter & husband Kay & Jesse Sumner of Galax, Va.; sister & brother-in-law Nina & Ray Sizemore of Galax, Va.; brothers Gleaves Lineberry of Galax, Va. and Burgess Lineberry of Hillsville, Va.; two grandchildren; one foster granddaughter; two foster great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 10, 2007 at 6:00 PM in Monta Vista Cemetery with Billy Burnette and Timmy Swinney officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm until 5:30 pm Monday at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
