Giles (Joe) Lewis Quesenberry passed away peacefully at Twin County Regional Hospital on May 14, 2026. It is without doubt, he is now walking the streets of gold along with his lord and savior that he always talked about. Giles loved the lord and was a faithful servant. He loved to sing and play guitar and many in the neighborhood can remember his voice carrying the echos of gospel hymns. He was a simple man, loved the mountains, fishing and the occasional trading. He valued spiritual wealth rather than worldly wealth. His motto was to live one day at a time and be grateful for what you have. Giles was born in Carroll County to the late Columbus Quesenberry and Weder A Quesenberry. Preceded in death by wife Lilis Quesenberry, a sister Nancy Lee Quesenberry Thornton, and an infant brother James Hassel Quesenberry. He is survived by his daughter, Libby C Haga (Jeffery). Grandchildren Jared C Haga (Lauren) and Alyssa E Haga. Great Grandchildren Karsyn E Haga and Tucker D Haga Brother-in-laws Larry J Phillips (Beverly) and Lane D Phillips, as well as several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Grayson Health and Rehabilitation, Twin County Regional Hospital, as well as Dr. Vanessa J Fant, all for their care and kindness. Funeral services will be May 18, 2026 at Calvary Bible Church in Dugspur with Brent Carrick officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Bible Church.
