Gerry Ray Rider age 68 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday in the Runk and Pratt Assisted Living in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Gerry was born in Radford, Virginia on December 25, 1954 to Raymond Harland and Barbara Faye Farmer Rider. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Rider.

He is survived by his mother Barbara Farmer Rider of Woodlawn, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Randy and Christie Rider of Lynchburg, Virginia; several nieces and nephew; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Phil Hawks and Butch Isom oficiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
