Geraldine Burris Testerman, age 76, Independence, VA, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA.

Mrs. Testerman was born June 16, 1941 to Wade and Dorothy Hampton Burris, in Galax, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Dean Testerman and a niece, Marcy Hendrix.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Timmy Swinney, Independence, VA; son, Mitchell Lee Testerman, Independence, VA; sister, Joan Burris, Galax, VA, sister in-law & brother-in-law, Ruth & Harold Cole, Independence, VA; grandchildren, Jamie Swinney, Chris & Mariah Swinney, Cody Testerman, Megan Testerman & Jordan Adams, Dustin Testerman. Three Great Grandchildren; nieces & nephews, Debra Felts and Dedra Lineberry, Tim Weatherman, Dennis & Melinda James, also, survive.

The funeral service will be held, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, with burial to follow in the Summmerfield Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Officiating ministers will be Ricky Hash and Tim Weatherman.
