Georgie Nell Martin age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Martin was born in Galax, Virginia on October 2, 1932 to Sam and Laura Dunevant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarin Elmo Martin and a sister Cleo Lyons.

She is survived by cousins Terry Ellis of High Point, North Carolina; Paulette Thompson, Jesse South, Marie Norman and Donald Lowe all of Galax, Virginia; Elmo's special niece Tonya Martin Simpson of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Elmo's sister-in-law Vada Lineberry Martin of Galax, Virginia; Elmo's brother Otto Martin of Bastian, Virginia and Elmo's nieces,nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Dr. Ronny Harrison officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
