Georgia Ann Underwood age 60 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Georgia was born on February 22, 1950 in Virginia to Edgar and Addie Shupe Underwood. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson Christopher Lozier.
She is survived by her husband Edsel Hale of Fries, Va.; daughters and sons-in-law Dana Underwood; Joyce & John Burris all of Galax, Va.; Shirley Hale of Fries, Va.; Anna & Paul Lozier of Ararat, Va.; son & special friend- Edsel Hale, Jr. & Charlotte Fergueson of Galax,Va.; sisters & brother-in-law Audrey Brown; Betty S. & Billy Funk all of Fries, Va.; Joyce Lineberry of Galax, Va.; brothers William Larry "Bill" Underwood and Dennis Underwood both of Fries, Va.; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 6:00 pm at Stevens Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donald White and Rev. Lee Thomas officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
